Housing Advocacy Program (HAP)

Welcome to our Housing Advocacy Program, where we are passionate about advocating for safe, affordable, and equitable housing for all. Our program is committed to addressing the systemic barriers and disparities that hinder individuals and families from accessing suitable housing options.

Through policy advocacy, community education and grassroots mobilization, we work tirelessly to promote housing justice, fight against discrimination, and amplify the voices of he marginalized communities. Together, we strive to create lasting change, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to secure and maintain a place they can call home.

Our goal is to help keep people in their homes by providing assistance to prevent evictions and negative rental history.

  • Landlord liaising & eviction mitigation
  • Emergency financial assistance
  • Access to civil legal aid

Post-Conviction Services

Our services aim to reduce barriers to both housing and gainful employment by helping individuals vacate eligible charges from their criminal history.

  • Access to civil legal aid
  • Associated court fees relief
  • Legal Financial Obligation (LFO) relief
  • Access to additional legal resources

HAP Program Eligibility

  • Washington State resident
  • Income at or below 400% FPL for supportive services

    AND / OR
  • Demonstrate pre-eviction or post-conviction services

The Parents for Parents (P4P) program is a groundbreaking peer mentorship initiative designed to support families navigating the child welfare system. Through education, guidance, and community connections, P4P empowers parents to build stronger relationships with their children and achieve successful outcomes, whether through reunification or alternative permanency solutions.

At the heart of P4P is the unique partnership between Parent Allies—parents who have successfully overcome the challenges of the child welfare system—and families currently involved in active court dependency cases. Parent Allies bring invaluable firsthand experience and compassion, providing mentorship, hope, and practical tools to help families thrive.

Our P4P Program offers:

  • HOPE Class: Introduction to the dependency process, equipping parents with the knowledge and strategies to navigate the system effectively.
  • Building Hope Class: More targeted community resource  
  • Community Resources: Connections to essential services and programs to help parents build stability and achieve their goals.
  • Peer Mentorship: One-on-one and group support from trained Parent Allies who understand the journey firsthand.
